Pimple on Tongue

While pimples are not a life threatening issue they can be both embarrassing and painful depending on where they pop out, especially if you happen to get them on your tongue. Not only can they be painful throughout the day but talking and eating can become very difficult.

You shouldn’t pop a pimple that’s on your tongue because the bacteria from inside the pimple would spread around your mouth and cause a much larger outbreak. That and it could be extremely difficult to pop a pimple on your tongue. Since you can’t pop them though, that often means you have to put up with the pimple and try to conduct your life around it until it goes away on your own.

In addition, you cannot apply the traditional cleansers or topical ointments to your tongue in an effort to treat the pimple since you wouldn’t want to ingest the product. There is the option of oral antibiotics but for a simple pimple or two the doctor often won’t prescribe the medication unless the outbreak is serious.

If you don’t want to deal with all this difficulty and pain then it is a good idea to prevent them from happening. Perhaps the best way to prevent pimples from occurring on the tongue as well as the rest of the body is to start eating right. This will also help improve the rest of your body as well.

Can Certain Foods Cause Acne

It has been a long debated issue of whether or not certain foods can cause acne. The fact is that some foods can cause allergies which can appear as acne or pimples on your skin. So if you find certain foods lead to a outbreak of pimples it is obviously best if you stayed away from these foods to help keep down your risk of suffering from pimple outbreaks. Food allergies are one of the biggest ways to get pimples to appear on your tongue.

If there is a food that causes an allergic reaction in your system then your body responds by producing a toxic substance to help combat the allergic reaction. In an effort to get rid of the allergic reaction the body pushes the bacteria and germs to the skin where most bacteria is expelled. If your pores are clogged from dirt and oil then the bacteria will buildup inside the clogged pore instead of being expelled which leads to pimples.

High Fat Diets

Eating a diet that is high in fats will increase the amount of fat in your body. As a result your body will produce more oil on the skin in an effort to expel the excess fat from your body. This increase in oil can lead to clogged pores and an outbreak of pimples. Therefore, by reducing or completely avoiding fats in your diet you can eliminate the amount of oil produced by your pores which will help decrease your chance of getting pimples on your tongue or anywhere else.

High fat diets are also known to cause an increase in the amount of hormones your body produces. This increased hormone production can create major problems for pimple outbreaks especially in teenagers.

Balanced Diet

One of the best ways to improve your pimple outbreaks is to eat a balanced diet. A part of this balanced diet is to reduce your intake of carbohydrates and unessential fats such as eating cereals, vegetables and juice instead of milk, grains, any processed food or bread. So stick to a balanced diet if you want to prevent pimple breakouts from occurring on your tongue or anywhere else on your body.
