Skin types

There are four main skin types: dry, normal, combination and oily. Each type has its own characteristics and requires special care products.

Types

Normal Skin

Those who have normal skin do not have problems with acne, acne, irritation and peeling.

Normal skin type is a great rarity, mainly found in children and only 7% in adults.

Normal skin contains enough moisture and fatty lubricants. You can hardly see any pores on it and wrinkles appear quite late.

Despite the excellent characteristics of this type of skin should be paid proper attention, without it the skin can change its type or acquire unwanted defects.

Dry Skin

Holders of dry skin up to 25 years of age have no problems with it, at a more mature age there is a sensitivity to natural factors, usually manifested by redness, flaking and early flabbiness. Dry skin is also often covered with a fine mesh of red blood vessels.

Dry skin is very sensitive – does not react well to conventional cosmetics, soap, cold, hot water and often reacts with allergic reaction, itching, redness, flaking. Holders of dry skin should consume a lot of fluid, at least 1.5 liters per day.

Excessive dryness may indicate that the skin has a lack of vitamins and body fat, both because of their low intake with food, and because of a fat metabolism disorder in diseases of the liver or pancreas. In addition, increased dryness of the skin may be associated with vitamin A and C deficiency.

If this type of skin does not receive the necessary care in time, it will quickly lose its elasticity and age, losing moisture and fat.

Fatty Skin

Fatty skin owners face many problems – enlarged pores, comedones, sebaceous cysts, acne, seborrhea. Oily skin requires constant attention, a certain diet, the right home and professional care, competent selection of cosmetics.

With all its disadvantages, oily skin also has advantages over other types: it is insensitive, which means that it will remain young for a long time.

Spec

  • Extended pores and greasy shine;
  • presence of black dots (acne) turning into single pus pimples;
  • rough appearance due to the visible density of the skin;
  • enlarged pores and characteristic gloss, which does not go away after washing and using cosmetics;
  • before menstruation, the skin becomes particularly oily and inflamed;

Oily skin owners face a host of problems, including expanded pores, comedones, sebaceous cysts, acne and seborrhea. Fatty skin requires constant attention, a certain diet, proper home and professional care, competent selection of cosmetics. To find out the causes of oily skin, you need to consult a cosmetologist, dermatologist, and sometimes endocrinologist.

With all the drawbacks, oily skin has advantages over other types: it is insensitive, which means that it will remain young for a long time. The abundantly released fat creates a protective film that prevents moisture from evaporating and blocks the penetration of harmful substances. And another plus: with age, the condition of oily skin only improves and usually by the age of 30 it becomes a combination.

Combination Skin

Skin has an uneven distribution of fatty lubricants in different areas of the face, resulting in the presence of different types of skin in different facial zones. Most often, the “T” zone (nose, forehead and chin) is oily skin, while the rest of the skin is either normal or dry.

Combination skin is considered the most common type of skin found in 80% of adolescents, 40% of young people under 25 years of age and 15% of adults.

Those with a mixed skin type need more thorough and complex care – two types of cosmetics – one for oily skin and the other for dry or normal skin. Over the years, the combined skin type, with proper care, can shift towards the normal type.
